People choose to be vegetarian for several reasons. Some are motivated to improve their own health. Some want reduce environmental impact and find a way to protect animals. Others are simply disgusted by meat and have no appetite for it. Regardless of why you choose to be a vegetarian, a few key guidelines will help you along your path and ensure your vegetarian success.

Vegetarians typically base their diets on grains, beans, nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables. Unlike vegans, vegetarians often eat eggs, honey and dairy products. Many eat fish. While avoiding animal gelatin, bone broths and other animal products, vegetarians find a way to strike a balance that works for them.
