Before you begin, the best way you can prepare yourself for the GM diet is by making sure you have plenty of pure, clean water to drink every single day.

Day # 1 –Consume only fruits throughout the day. You can eat all fruit other than bananas. Good choices include melon and watermelon. Drink plenty of water. Another option is to place a variety of fruit in a blender and pour in a thermos. This works great if you are headed out to work, school, the gym or wherever.
Day # 2 – Eat all the raw or cooked vegetables you can consume. You may start your day with a baked potato for breakfast with oil or butter. Day # 3 – Combine both fruits and vegetables in any amount without bananas or potatoes. Fruits and vegetables can be combined in a blender as well for a quick way to consume them on the go.
Day # 4 – Milk and bananas are the choices for the day. Eat as many as 8 bananas and drink at least 3 glasses of any kind of unsweetened milk. The potassium in the bananas and the calcium in the milk are a key part of this diet. This is the day you can enjoy the special soup along with your bananas and milk. Most likely, you will not be able to eat all 8 bananas in one day.
Day # 5 - Enjoy a celebration meal of beef and tomatoes that includes two 10-ounce portions of lean meat or hamburger with six whole tomatoes. It is important to increase your water intake to help your body get rid of the uric acid that you will be producing on this day. Aim for an increase of water by one quart.
Day # 6 – On this day, you can consume unlimited amounts of high, lean protein and vegetables.
Day # 7 – Whew! The last day consists of eating all the vegetables you can consume, fruit juices and brown rice. No meat. Make sure the fruit juice is not from a concentrate or bottled with added sugar. If you have access to a juicer, the sky is the limit with creating your fruit juices.
On day number eight, you can be at least 10 pounds lighter and may even lose considerably more than that, up to about 17 pounds.
If you are not yet as skinny as you want to be, repeat the meal plans again or as often as you like.
The good news is:
After the first week, you can enjoy a glass or two of white wine or even a celebratory glass of champagne.

In a large stockpot, add:
6 large onions – chopped
3 ½ cups of water
2 red peppers – chopped
4 whole tomatoes
1 head of cabbage – roughly chopped
1 bunch of celery – roughly chopped
Herbs of your choice
Bring all ingredients to boil; simmer over low heat for 30-45 minutes until veggies are soft but not mushy.
Beverages To Consume
While you are on the program, you may consume the following:
· Water – can be flavored with lemon or lime
· Club soda is all
· Black Coffee – no cream or sugar
· Tea – herbal or black
Do not consume anything else like soft drinks, sport drinks or any of the endless flavored beverages in your local market. No fruit juices are allowed until meal day # 7.

Vegan/ Vegetarian Method

Preparing For Day # 2
Day 2’s eating plan is similar to day 1 except you only eat vegetables. There really is no limit to the vegetable choices and you can eat all varieties. You should feel much better on day 2 as you can have almost any vegetable including a potato that is high in starch. NO fruit whatsoever on day 2. Since the focus is on vegetables only on day 2, it is a good day to make the GM soup so you can enjoy it whenever you want to or feel hungry. Do not add any oil when cooking.
Preparing For Day # 3
Once you have completed day 1 and 2 eating plans on the GM diet, you will find the meal plan on day 3 much easier. On day 3, you will be able to eat both fruits and vegetables, without bananas or potatoes. However, your body is prepared now to shed those excess calories and though you may have some light food cravings but those will lessen significantly by day 4.
When it comes to breakfast on day 3, choose between watermelon or apples but not both at the same time. Repeat the same lunch plan from day # 2 and add some fruit to it. Dinner can be a combination of any vegetables as long as they are boiled or steamed and of course, you may add some fruit to the mix such as melon or apple. Snack on fruit and vegetables all day and drink plenty of water.
Day # 3 Sample Meal Plan
Breakfast: Enjoy 1 cup of diced melon or 1 apple with 2 glasses of water
Mid-Morning: 1 bowl of papaya and cantaloupe with 2 glasses of water
Lunch: Salad with Romaine lettuce, tomato and cucumber with beets in vinegar and 2 glasses of water

Blending 2 bananas and 2 glasses of skim milk with ice makes a smoothie that you can pour into a thermos to take with you to work or when you are on the go.
When it comes to making the soup, use a large stockpot and add a cup each of your favorite vegetables such as tomatoes, cabbage, celery, onions and peppers. Preparing For Day # 5
Congratulations on making it to day # 5. The past four days of the GM diet lacked protein and you may have noticed some muscle weakness, however on day # 5, you are only allowed to eat beef and tomatoes. If you are vegan or vegetarian, you can substitute the beef for brown rice or tofu. Not a fan of beef? You can substitute chicken or 6 eggs for the beef. However, beef contain protein and iron, and the tomatoes contain lycopene and plenty of fiber that your body needs.
It is a good idea to eat small servings of beef throughout your day as large servings can make your appetite worse. Of course, combine the beef with the tomatoes at each meal on day # 5. For example, you can start your day with tomato soup and braised beef that will provide protein, fiber and energy for your day.
A hamburger with tomato only will work for lunch but drink plenty of water to flush out the uric acid your body will produce from all the beef. Enjoy beef soup and tomatoes with plenty of water when it is time for a snack. No fruit juices allowed. If you do not like red meat, you can make a turkey burger or use chicken instead of the beef. Make sure it is skinless chicken breast and use all-white turkey meat for making the turkey hamburgers.
(You can substitute the beef for any meat or plant based protein)
Zest of one lemon
1 cup of beef tenderloin strips
1 teaspoon of ground coriander
Himalayan Pink Sea salt and pepper to taste
Season the meat, chicken or turkey meat with the lemon zest by rubbing it all over the meat. Let stand for at least 10 minutes. Season with coriander, sea salt and pepper to taste – place on grill or griddle and cook at least 4-5 minutes on each side, depending on thickness. Remove and serve with sliced tomatoes.
Day # 5 Sample Meal Plan
Breakfast: braised beef and sliced tomatoes
Mid-Morning: turkey patty and tomato
Lunch: Hamburger patty and sliced tomato
Mid-Afternoon: turkey patty and tomato
Dinner: hamburger patty and tomato
Drink plenty of water throughout the day to flush out the uric acid your body will produce with all the meat consumed. No fruit juices. You should notice a difference in how much lighter you feel due to the first three days of cleansing and detoxification. Prepare For Day # 6
Protein and fiber is the name of the game on day # 6. It is considered a feast day because you can now add vegetables to your protein choices on this day.
